Celebrating the 2nd ADS International Conference in Thailand
Chair, Asian Dysphagia Society
Eiichi Saitoh MD, DMSc
Supreme Advisor, Fujita Academy
Professor, Fujita Health University
First of all, I would like to congratulate all parties involved in the Second ADS International Conference to be held in Bangkok on November 6-8, 2025. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Professor Pattra Wattanapan and all members of the organizing committee, TSA, for their efforts.
The Asian Dysphagia Society (ADS) is an international society established in January 2023, aiming to pursue comprehensive care for dysphagia. Currently, it consists of members from 11 Asian countries. Thailand has been a crucial member since its inception, with TSA (Thai Swallowing Association) actively advancing dysphagia rehabilitation in the country and participating as its representative. https://asiandysphagia.org
Dysphagia rehabilitation is a relatively new field, but its development is progressing day by day. It is of high interest to many Asian countries where the aging population is rapidly increasing. The development of dysphagia rehabilitation in Thailand has been remarkable, and I am always amazed by its progress every time I visit. We are confident that the ADS International Conference to be held in Bangkok will be a wonderful event for swallowing experts from around the world, particularly from Asia and Thailand.
We look forward to seeing you all in Bangkok.
